We are seeking enthusiastic, committed individuals to join our team as an apprentice. You will gain experience working alongside our chefs assisting them in all areas of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food and standards are upheld and delivered to our guests.
Our chefs have exposure to almost everything from our vast array of functions and weddings to our AA rosette-winning fine dining restaurant. You will be learning from the best and gaining an all-around experience in the Kitchen areas. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. You must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Our Apprenticeships
The Apprenticeships last for a minimum of 12-15 months and will enable you to develop through a structured training programme. As an Apprentice with The Vale Resort, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification, giving you an ideal grounding for a career in the hospitality industry.
Learning is all on-site, so there is no need for our Apprentices to attend college, and our Apprentices are all paid national minimum wage, which is above the standard Apprentice rate.
Throughout your Apprenticeship you will be supported by your Manager and our Apprenticeship provider too, so you will be given all the help and advice you need to succeed.
Upon completion of the Apprenticeship Programme, you will have the opportunity to develop further through our range of training and development opportunities

Who we are
The Vale Resort, part of the Leekes Group of Companies, has been operating since 1999 and is the official hotel and training venue for the Wales national rugby and football teams.
The four-star resort delivers five-star service levels and comprises a 143 bedroom hotel with five food outlets, two championship golf courses, and Wales’ largest spa, health, and racquets club. The recent expansion of the resort now includes newly developed Hensol Castle comprising of 20 bedrooms and extensive wedding and conference business.
