There are few places in the world better experienced at hosting rugby training camps than the Vale Resort in South Wales.
We’ve been hosting professional rugby team training camps for local and international teams since 1999, including the France, New Zealand and Wales sides. So we’ve got a pretty good idea of the ingredients needed for the perfect UK training camp environment. Just ask the British and Irish Lions if you don’t believe us – they’ve been training here since 2013.
We’ve invested in the best equipment and rugby team training facilities available to ensure you have everything you need to excel. We’re talking IRB-standard rugby pitches, 3G indoor and outdoor pitches (including an international size 3G all-weather pitch) and extensive recreational facilities, which include a large indoor training arena.
Plus, as we’re just minutes from the M4 and a short drive from Cardiff, you get all the benefits of a private and secure training space in the South Wales countryside, without the arduous journey you’d expect to get there.
After a long day of training, we understand how important rest and relaxation is. You can retreat to our award-winning spa – the largest in Wales – where you’ll find a range of relaxation rooms and treatments. Need some additional strength and conditioning? Our 4* luxury resort has a state-of-the-art gym that’s just been refurbished and is jam-packed with the latest equipment. For a change of pace, you could always take a dip in our 20-metre indoor swimming pool. Need to analyse performance or hold a team meeting? No problem. We have extensive conference facilities available for that. And on non-training days, our two championship 18-hole golf courses offer the perfect opportunity to blow away the cobwebs.
In the RWC 2015 our pitch came 5th out of 42 training and match pitches with only Wembley, Twickenham, Principality Stadium and The Etihad above us.
