The WRU training ground at The Vale Resort is being adapted to support The Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board in the fight against coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Leekes Retail and Leisure Group are proud to update you on some business news.

On Tuesday 31st March 2020, work started to adapt the WRU training facilities here at The Vale Resort, into a field hospital providing an additional 290 beds to be used to support the work of the NHS and Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board in fighting the covid-19 pandemic.

In addition, our Hensol Castle Distillery has now received accreditation to produce antibacterial hand sanitiser to World Health Authority standard which can be therefore be used in our NHS to provide key workers with additional protection as they care for those affected by the virus.

Everybody – from businesses to individuals – has a responsibility to play their part in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, and we are pleased to be able to do what we can to support those working in the NHS, doing an incredible job under enormous pressure and extremely difficult circumstances.

Stay safe at home everyone.
