Winter weather can be harsh on skin, so we’ve compiled a list of top tips to keep your skin glowing this winter.

During winter, low temperatures and humidity can promote dry, raw and irritated skin. When the air outside is colder, water in your skin evaporates quicker leaving skin tight and this can contribute to ageing.

To help you keep your skin glowing during these harsh months, we’ve compiled a list of top tips to help you combat dry and tired skin.

1. Moisture Overnight

Temple Spa Body Truffle

During winter, it is important to not only moisturise your face but also your whole body. As the skin on your hands, feet, elbows and knees is a lot thinner, they tend to lose moisture a lot quicker than other parts of your body. Temple Spa Body Truffle is an ultra-rich body crème that’s hydrates, firms and instantly brightens skin. Lather your skin before bed and let it soak in whilst you sleep, it’s an overnight sensation.

2. Vitamin C Boost Facial

Vitamin C Boost Facial

The Vitamin C Boost Facial at the Vale Spa has been specially designed to nourish and hydrate dry skin. Skin can look tired and dull from day to day elements, pollution, stress and not enough water. During your treatment active vitamins will drench the skin and work on penetrating much deeper into the epidermis and dermis of the skin aiding hydration, repair, protection and firmness, leaving skin looking visibly hydrated and beautiful.

3. Exfoliate

Clarins Exfoliator

By adding exfoliating to your skin care regime, you will remove dullness and flaking caused by dead skin cells. Clarins Gentle Refiner Exfoliating Cream is a rich cream formulated with two different types of micro beads one exfoliates, the other purifies. The cream lifts impurities and dead skin cells and tightens pores. Once you have finished exfoliating, moisturise immediately to see bright and more hydrated skin.

4. Shorten Your Shower

A hot shower may warm your body in those cold winter months, but it can actually strip your skin of natural oils that it needs to keep hydrated.  Limit your shower to five minutes, then use a moisturising body wash and finish with a body cream rich in cocoa, such as Temple Spa Skin Truffle - miracle moisturiser that brings immediate skin transformation as well as powerful anti-ageing goodness.

5. Use Masks

Clarins SOS Masks

Face masks are a quick win when it comes to making your skin glow this winter. Clarins SOS Hydra Face Mask is a moisturising bath for thirsty skin. This ultra-refreshing gel-cream mask helps skin find its ideal moisture level in just 10 minutes
