Christmas has come early for guests at the Vale Resort in Hensol, thanks to a six-foot tall and four-foot wide gingerbread house which is on show in its reception.
It took five chefs four days to create the house around a wooden frame, using 120kgs of gingerbread, 30kgs of fondant icing and a whopping 10kgs of sweets.
Stephanie Metson, marketing manager at the Vale Resort, said: “We wanted to give our guests an extra sweet treat this year as well as to showcase the skills of our talented chefs. We couldn’t think of a better way to do it than creating a life-size gingerbread house, which is creating a festive buzz in our reception.”
